Quote Of The Day...
Lawd, please deliver me from future ignorant comments like: "Damn, you're pretty for a dark skinned girl." Oh and add in "You'd be the darkest girl I've ever dated." GTFOOHWTBS. If I'm the darkest, come holla at me when you've opened your dating pool and your mind a bit more. Or not.

Levi's Takes It Way Back.....
The majority of jeans that I own (maybe 90%) are Levi's. So I found this very interesting...
Levi’s introduces a new XX Concept space in Tokyo, with just about all products featuring a vintage look. Levi’s widely popular LVC (Levi’s Vintage Clothing) line is on deck for mass consumption. In my opinion, the store looks incredible.
Something like this needs to pop up in the states. Traveling all the way to Tokyo is a hella' trip just for some denim. Hell, it maybe worth it...
Quote Of The Day...
Words can hurt deep to the bone. Let's be more mindful of what we say to
each other & about another. Let's love, respect & honor each
other. Don't ever be ashamed or too proud to say "I'm sorry, please
forgive me".

Hard Knocks Indeed...
Monday Night Football saw the match up everyone's been talking about, some talking too damn much. The New York Jets vs. The Baltimore Ravens. Rex Ryan vs. Ray Lewis. Darrelle Revis vs. Anquan Boldin. Mark Sanchez vs. Joe Flacco.
The end result was a knock down, drag out defensive minded game loaded with hard hits & penalties. Just about all of the offense came from the Ravens or should I say Flacco (20-38 for 248 yards 1 int) to Heap (6 catches for 72 yards) & Boldin (7 catches for 110 yards). Yes America, Anquan Boldin is a BEAST. And you should know by now, no Ravens game is complete without a de-cleater courtesy of Ray Lewis. Final score Ravens 10 Jets 9. The Baltimore Ravens showed me not only a glimpse of that new improved offense, but also proved their defense (ranked 3rd last year) is still rock solid. No Ed Reed, no Demarcus Webb, no Dominique Foxworth...and you still hold the Jets to 6 total first downs? Or maybe this proves that Rex Ryan needs to stop front-running to the media, and use that time to deal with his O' coordinators. Because the Jets offense SUCK.
It doesn't get any easier for them next week, having to travel to Gillette Stadium to face Brady and the Patriots. All that pre-season yapping about going to the Superbowl, then starting out 0-2 would indeed be an Hard Knock Life.
Next up for the Baltimore Ravens...Palmer, Ochocinco, T.O and the Cincinatti Bengals.

All Praises Due...
See this symbol?
For over 20 years, that shit represented greatness. Staight from strong island....The greatest HIP HOP voice ever. The greatest hype-man ever. One of the greatest HIP HOP DJs ever. The greatest HIP HOP group ever.
PUBLIC ENEMY.
If someone ever decides to form a TOP Mc's list...Chuck D better not be included. Because Chuck D is greater than that shit, he is beyond that shit. The man is the single greatest author in HIP HOP history...period! And I'm proud to say I was a youngin' when PE hit the scene. I witnessed them at their apex. Their albums were so dope, it puts this recent shit to shame. YO' Bum Rush The Show. Fear Of A Black Planet. Apocalypse 91... The Enemy Strikes Black.
And since I'm handing out greatness...the greatest HIP HOP album ever (just edging out Wu-Tang Clan's Enter The Wu...36th Chambers). It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back.
The entire album was amazing but check the standout cuts....Bring The Noise, Don't Believe The Hype, Land Of The Living Baseheads, Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos, & the DOPEST HIP HOP track ever....Rebel Without A Pause. I mean...The track was so hard that upon hearing the finished product for the first time, these were Chuck D's words....
"I could die tomorrow. Because that record right there? Nothing could fucking go nowhere near it!"
You find me one damn HIP HOP album with 5 cuts doper than that...& I'll call you a Got' Damn Liar.
Public Enemy issues a salute to soul with their new video "Say It Like It Really Is". I'm not even gonna front...This vid brought a tear to my eyes. Chuck D's POWERFUL cadence & dope delivery (at the age of 50), the pics of soooo many great political & musical pioneers, That DOPE ASS CHORUS?!
Like I said, all praises due....

Quote Of The Day...
I am in the midst of the true definition of that old adage 'One monkey don't stop no show.' Hell, not only did the show not stop, the crowd asked for an encore. And this is as it should be. *sips martini* Things are being rearranged most magnificently.
