Agassi Hybrid?!

Nike is scheduled to release yet another hybrid shoe. This time it might not be a bad thing. Here are some sneak peeks of the Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid that should be hitting stores this April. The shoe is a combination of 3 of Andre Agassi's most popular signature shoes, The Air Tech Challenge 2, 3, & 4. With the neon green, hot lava pattern & early 90's shape...these might actually be a cop for Agassi fans like myself.

I see "Summer Shoe" all over these. Retail is set to be $115...so get your white tee & cargo shorts ready.

Plaid is in...

For those needing a late pass...Commonwealth has dropped a new batch of store fitteds. This time they showcased plaid materials in two nice colorways. Lookin' real good...bring on that Spring weather.

Available now online at Commonwealth for a retail of $45.

1/3 Cent?!

It's ya boy Tigga Tigga here with...The Fake Report.

BREAKING NEWS JUST IN!!!

With all the hooplah over the latest Nike fusion release, The Nike 1/2 Cent, you should of known the terrorist would take notice. It didn't take long for them to release the bootleg versions.

Yes, the Nike 1/2 Cent has been faked.

"An authentic pair"

Don't let the Gold or Eggplant colorways sway you, these are a most un-impressive effort. I guess icy soles were just too expensive for them to include. SMFH.

Quickness...

One of Vans’ favorite projects of late has been with Washington DC’s pioneering punk band Bad Brains, which includes their recent huge collaboration with Supreme. Vans have put together this video giving some insight into the band's history featuring Bad Brains' bassist Daryl Jenifer. The video also showcases some rare early footage of the band in concert, all their "rawness" included.

Nice...and continued props to Bad Brains.

Remain ANTI...

More from Canadian retailer Subdivison’s in-house label, Division has released their 2009 Spring collection. Further emphasizing their trademark style of subtle black colorway products, their collection includes a new mesh cap and a full-zip hoodie. The cap features the words "Anti Authority" in gold embroidery . The hoodie sports a gold zipper, "Division bolt" logo on the front & black crystal logo graphics on the rear.

Division remains a nice alternative to the many "loud" brands that continue to exist. Here's wishing they make themselves more available here in the states.

More In4mation...

The admiration for Vans has continued to spread world-wide. With so many dope releases & collaborations, who can blame one for jumping on for the ride. That being said, let me announce the top contender for 2009 Vans drop of the year....

Vans x In4mation Half Cab Pro.

I've blogged about this shoe before, a collab with Vans & Hawaii skateboard/lifestyle shop In4mation that was scheduled to be a December 2008 online-only release but was held up by distribution issues. But finally my pair has arrived & it was well worth the wait. The boys at In4mation did themselves proud on this one. Denim & houndstooth has never looked so good.

If you haven't already obtained your pair, your probably out of luck as the entire stock is just about sold out. If your a size 9, check out In4mation asap...cause that's all that's still available.

Fresh Shape...

Japanese label ShapeL has released their Summer 2009 collection with impressive results. Influenced by a vast range of styles, ShapeL has attempted a fresh new take on far east contemporary clothing. Summer 2009's line emphasizes a Native American motif which by itself offers uniqueness & shows the brands appreciation of other cultures. Using muted earth-tone colors, each piece is given a timeless effect that could endure many seasons. Last but not least, the attention to detail appears to be of top notch quality.

Kudos must be given...this collection is impressive. Sign me up.

Stylin'...

Converse has once again adorned their popular Jack Purcell model with the patent leather treatment. Improving on previous offerings, a perforated touch has been added to the PL. These new PL Purcells come in Black/White & all-White colorways with silver eyelets & lace tips. In my opinion the end result is a winner.

I'll be the first to state...I dig patent leather Jack Purcells. I own a couple pairs already & plan on picking these up. Check out your local Converse retailers as they should be dropping pretty soon. Such a classic look.

Follow The Leaders...

This past weekend Leaders1354 in Chicago dropped their newest collaboration, this time with Nike. The Haurache 2k8 was the canvas of choice. The end result...a metallic silver make up that's simple yet flashy.

“Our first thought when working with the 2K8 was making it jean friendly and giving it more of a high end appeal. We wanted people to have the same reaction when they saw a pair of polished calf skin Lanvin or Dior sneakers. From there we figured the colorway would have to be somewhat simple but yet still have that wow factor. After we settled on silver we tied it all in with one of the six liquid elements, Mercury.”

Only 24 pairs of the sneaker were produced and given out to friends, family and valued customers, so if you don't already have your pair...it ain't lookin' good for you.

Go Baby...Go Baby...

St. Alfred in Chicago was the place for the release of Converse x Lupe Fiasco's Chuck Taylor. Lupe himself was in attendance to greet his adoring fans & personally sign several pairs of The Superstar made for the "Superstar".

Here's hoping these Lupe Fiasco Chucks get a general release date sometime real soon. They are indeed coppable.
