Nike Penny 2...

The Nike Air Penny 2 black/royal colorway holds a special place in my heart...a symbol of missed opportunity. See...In 1997, I was actually able to just walk into Footlocker and purchase the newly released Nike Air Penny 2 white/atlantic blue colorway. I loved the Nike Air Penny 1...but there was something about this new Penny that didn't sit too well with me. Something wasn't right. After about a week of not wanting to wear them...I returned them to Footlocker and got a refund. That was that...the Nike Penny 2 was a flop compared to the Penny 1 in my opinion. A lot of other people must of thought the same cause the white/atlantic blues ended up on clearance. Then a couple of months later, Nike dropped the black/royal blue colorway...and I was floored!!! Damn...This shoe is hot as shit! I raced to the local spot to pick up a pair that weekend...but to my suprise, I wasn't the only one that liked the colorway. The black/royals were sold out in my size everywhere. I'm saying...them shits sold like a Jordan! Gone...AAAARGH!!!

Now the fall 2008 brings the retro of the Nike Air Penny 2, in black/royal blue. Finally I can own the colorway that eluded me some eleven plus years ago. Here are some sample pics of the shoe...done right in my opinion.

Converse has done it again....Got me fiending for another shoe!
For their 100th anniversary Converse has put a spin on a classic to bring us the "Leather Jacket" as part of their Century Collection. The Chuck Taylor is used as the silhouette for these kicks inspired by old-school leather motor-cycle jackets. The details of these patchwork kicks include black anodized zippers, embossed Converse All-Star logo, two distinctly styled tongues and and waxed covered laces. These slick leather kicks will be available at select global retailers in July...only question is who & where?!

BONEYARDS...

The much talked about Stussy x Neighborhood Boneyards Collection will see its release next week. Among the launching points will be the recently opened Stussy D.C. chapter store in Washington D.C.'s Adams Morgan area. Doors will open for this highly hyped collection at 11:00 am with a friends getting first dibs on sizes. From what I'm hearing...except a line-up to occur.

3G iPhone...

The very highly anticipated 3G iPhone has just been announced by Steve Jobs at Apple's annual WWDC. This time around, the iPhone is everything the old one was but better and amazingly, a lot cheaper. It has thinner edges, a full black plastic back, flush headphone jack, and it will be 36% faster than Nokia's N95 and Treo 750 in terms of pageloads. It also has improved battery life with 300 hours of standby, 8-10 hours of 2G talk, 5 hours of 3G talk, 7 hours of video, and 24 hours of audio. It will also come with GPS, so you know where you are all the time.
8GB is available for $199 and 16GB will come in white for $299.

I can't wait to get my hands on one of these. The only complaint I have with my current iPhone is that slow ass Edge browser. If your not browsing thru a wi-fi...frustration is your destination. The 3G iPhone should finally silence all the iPhone killer nonsense. Sorry Voyager & Blackberry owners...lmfao

Yours truly was front & center at Commenwealth D.C.'s listening party for N.E.R.D.'s new album...SEEING SOUNDS. There was an excellent turnout with your usual suspects, plus who can say no to good music,
hors d'oeuyres, & free Heineken and Red Bull mixtures...(21 & over only)
